The Gucci Flora Story

Drawing inspiration from the fashion label’s iconic floral print, Gucci Flora fragrances pays homage to its heritage. While the flora pattern from Gucci emerged on its bags only in 2005, the signature and iconic print dates back decades. Designed by illustrator and the brand’s textile designer, Vittorio Accornero on special request by Rodolfo Gucci, the scarf was a gift to fashion icon Princess Grace Kelly in 1966—which eventually became synonymous with the brand when Frida Giannini took over as creative director for Gucci.

Inspired by this very print, Gucci Flora Fragrances puts forth the brand’s vintage history with a fresh perspective. In 2021, Miley Cyrus debuted as the face of #FloraFantasy, a world brimming with flowers, fluffy animals, and kawaii cuteness. Constantly shifting between dreams and reality, this virtual space is inspired by the Gucci Flora collection of fragrances, each built around a noble flower —Gucci Flora Gardenia, Gucci Flora Jasmine, and now Gucci Flora Magnolia—all of which bring something unique to the table. The Packaging

The elongated purple lacquered bottle strikes the perfect balance between vintage and modern through its hue and prints. Featuring a new take on the label’s iconic flora pattern, its elongated opaque glass bottle paired with the striking gold cap will transport you back in time. Keeping sustainability in mind, the flacon has been made of 10% recycled glass that has been lacquered with water-based colour. Representing the outdoors, Gorgeous Magnolia is a chypre floral fragrance that is vibrant and rich—just like its packaging. Created by perfumers Daphné Bugey and Marie Salamagne, this fragrance takes you on an unexpected yet fun and joyful journey. Orbiting around the cheerful floral notes of Magnolia Alba, the fragrance uses an amalgamation of striking notes that blend together to create a balance between fruity and floral.
